Examples of what our Teacher Mini Grants have provided:
Student iPads
OCHS Art Teacher Paul Matusz received a grant to purchase iPads for his students. The students use the iPads to draw and create digital art work.
LED Bubble Light
Debbie Huber received a grant for an LED Bubble Light Tube used for occupational therapy.
Sign Language
OCPS Teacher Karin Stanton received a grant to teach sign language to groups of students twice a week.
Aquaponic Lights
OCHS Science Teacher Michael Pomatto’s students observing plants grown with aquaponic lights purchased through a grant given by OCEF.
Peppers Aquaponic Lights
OCHS Science Teacher Michael Pomatto’s students grow peppers with aquaponic lights purchased through a grant given by OCEF.
Desk Cycles
OCPS Teacher Carrie Merritt received a grant for these desk cycles which promote a healthy classroom while also increasing student concentration.
Kick Up the Learning
OCPS Teacher Erin Porter received a grant for “Kick Up the Learning” kits. Students are able to work at stand-up desks where they can use a foot swing to direct energy.
Headphones
OCIS Teacher Michelle Tornblom received a grant for headphones from OCEF to be used in her class
Adjustable Swing
OCHS students utilizing flaghouse adjustable swings purchased through an OCEF grant
